Tiny Footprint Coffee Organic Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee, 3-Pound Bag

Carbon Negative, Earth Positive. Tiny Footprint is a carbon negative coffee company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When you buy a pound of Tiny Footprint Coffee, you are helping reforestation efforts by enabling us to plant native, carbon-guzzling saplings in the Mindo Cloud Forest, in Ecuador. These trees, like Alder and Balsa, along with over two-dozen additional species, are non-invasive and grown from local seed to guarantee the recreation of the cloud forest. Once planted, these trees will more than offset the carbon impact of growing, harvesting and shipping the coffee. In simple mathematical terms, it looks like this: planting, harvesting, shipping and roasting one pound of Tiny Footprint produces 4 lbs of carbon. For every pound of Tiny Footprint that’s purchased, we’ll plant enough trees to suck 54 lbs of carbon from the atmosphere. Resulting in a 50 lb net gain of carbon-guzzling goodness. In addition to removing carbon from the atmosphere, we’re also helping to protect dozens of bird species by restoring critical habitats through reforestation, improving the quality of local water tables and creating jobs in the areas in which we work. So there’s a lot of good in every bag of Tiny Footprint. Our 100% Arabica coffee beans are shade grown on small, rustic family-owned farms known for producing some of the finest coffee beans in the world. It’s here, in rugged, remote places like Timor, Sumatra and Ecuador that our beans begin their long journey from vine to coffee mug. Once harvested, the beans are roasted in small batches on a vintage, German-built “Probat” roaster. The result is a rich, full-bodied cup of coffee that lifts the morning fog like hot sun through a lush rainforest canopy. Check out our five blends to figure out which one you’d like in your cup. Signature 100% Colombian Coffee Supremo Bean Dark Roast-Fine Grind, 3 Pound
August 28, 2015
This Colombia coffee was produced by some of the 600,000-plus members of the National Federation of the Coffee Growers of Colombia, an association of mostly small-holding Colombian growers whose reliably good-quality coffee, community support programs and sophisticated marketing campaigns around the Juan Valdez symbol together constitute one of the great successes of coffee history. That said, this is not a classic Colombia but an interestingly flawed version that also happens to be a remarkable bargain. Read More »
Cafe Don Pablo Subtle Earth Organic Gourmet Coffee Medium-Dark Roast Whole Bean, 2 Pound

Full Body, with a Deep rich Chocolaty Flavor, and a clean finish. Smooth Milk Chocolate, with Tones of Honey, Caramel and Cocoa. Organic Certified. This Coffee is an exceptional Honduran coffee from the Marcala region. No chemical inputs are used. The cherries (fruit of the coffee bean), are composted and used as fertilizer, along with vermiculture, and fewer insects are present at the altitude that it's grown, so no insecticides are necessary. If there ever is a bug problem, farmers sometimes plant peppers as a repellent. The coffee is very dense, and thus has depth of flavor and we are able to roast it just right to bring out it's natural flavor characteristics and a wonderful sweetness. All our coffees are roasted fresh to order in multiple small batch roasters (30-60 kilos) at our facility in Miami. We are a family of growers and roasters, laser-focused on quality, and because of our volume and innovative model, we are able to deliver an excellent quality 100% organic coffee, at a price that represents a considerable value.
