Works with Nepresso Latissima Plus,
When I ordered my Nepresso machine, I also ordered these universal refillable capsules. They work beautifully, and the price is considerably less than the older models ($30 vs. $19 is a no-brainer). In the future, I hope that the company will manufacture a stainless steel capsule, but for now the plastic does the job. I find the best way to fill the capsule is to scoop up the ground coffee, press it against the side of the container, and level it with my finger. Touch the center lightly — the grind should not depress. Then, when I press the lid down, it completes the compacting. You know you’ve gotten it right when you open the lid after brewing and the grind is still level. The correct grind differs with the bean I use (sorry guys, there is no universal grind as the moisture content varies in the bean types). Too fine and the water won’t flow, too course and you have colored water. It doesn’t take long to figure out. Let me share some tips from years of making espresso: 1. for a consistent grind, only use a burr grinder, 2. do not freeze or refridgerate your beans, moisture will form causing the coffee to clog and break your grinder, 3. grind your beans for espresso the night before, the coffee de-gasses and the drink actually tastes better.
These capsules work very well and I am delighted with the purchase. They do not replace the Nepresso capsules. After all, the Nepresso experience was one of the reasons I bought the machine. But, they allow me to make a darned good espresso with a beautiful crema using my own beans.
NOTE: I have been using the refillable capsules almost daily for 2.5 months, with no deterioration. They are best if only the espresso shot is used. But I make an Americano and push the espresso button without a capsule in the machine to add the hot water.

Saves money,
These have saved me money, considering that I cannot afford purchasing Nespresso all the time. You have to be VERY careful how you insert these capsules. They can not be warm, as they expand in the coffee maker and can get stuck. (Yes, even the slightest warmth causes them to expand. If I reused them, they will get stuck or not seat correctly. I rinse in cold water if I am going to immediately reuse.) You also have to make sure that the lid tab is pointing down before inserting. Otherwise, the capsule will seat incorrectly and will crush in the coffee maker. Also, do not pack the espresso ground coffee inside the capsule. Once you fill the capsule, just press along side the inside of your coffee can and wipe off the excess. Do not press the coffee down. Otherwise, the water will not flow thru the capsule properly. I have perfected the process and now love them. The taste is as good as the coffee and I always get a decent foam.

Great once you know how to use. Read for instructions,
Just got this little gadget in the mail. for the past hour i’ve been playing around with it trying to get the best coffee and to match the quality of Nespresso. this is what you need to do:
first things first you need to have the exact grind. i opened a nespresso capsule and found that the grind is in between espresso and turkish coffee. for a best match bring the coffee from one of your capsules with you to your local coffee house and ask them to match the grind. this should to the trick. Second thing is compacting your coffee. if you open you Nespresso capsule you will see there is quite a good amount of coffee in there. you basically need to get that amount of coffee to fit into your coffee duck. in order to do so you need to find something flat and round that matches the width of your coffee duck. I used a 2 euro i had lying around the house, from a previous trip, drilled through it and but a screw in it and made it flush. I used that little tool to pack my coffee real tight. And VOILA! this makes a perfect duplicate of the Nespresso capsules. Great little tool this coffee duck, as long as you follow these instructions you will have great coffee.
