Off Chemical Taste — Not Happy,
I’m surprised at all the 5-star reviews for this. I bought a whole box of this coffee because I absolutely loved the regular Donut Shop K-cup sample that was included with my Mr. Coffee Keurig-style maker. In fact, that was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had in my life! I should be drinking decaf, and I like an evening cup of coffee, so I thought I was guaranteed a good decaf in the Donut Shop brand. To my surprise, the decaf didn’t taste good. It had an off chemical taste that made it difficult to taste the coffee.
I’ve researched this coffee on the Internet, and no one discloses the decaffeinating process. As many other brands brag that they are decaffeinated with water, I suspect that the chemical taste in this one is a residue from a process that uses an organic solvent. It’s also possible that I just got a bad batch. It doesn’t expire until April 2013, so I don’t think that was the problem.
Because I was so disappointed with this coffee, I tried Newman’s Own Special Decaf and love it.

I really enjoy my Coffee People Donut Shop Coffee. It’s great, and Amazon’s service is great! I will gladly order my coffee from Keurig again.

I DO NOT like it as well as the k-cups fro dunkin donuts It is not as smooth tasting almost bordering on bitter
